Enhance Your Study and Reference Experience with the Best Chrome Extension: Highlighter

Excellent! Very lightweight and practical! It only doesn't work well on the Reddit website, regarding the XPath references for highlighted text.

Absolutely love Weava... When it actually works. This has got to be one of the bug infested extensions I've ever used. Currently trying to highlight in a pdf. Uploaded the pdf into Weava. Opened in Weava... Can't highlight. Can't even select text lol. Tools got great potential but maybe fire some of the staff and get some competent people involved?

Is it didnt work ?

hasn't been updated since feb 2024. no longer saves your highlights, just keeps a log of them.

Once you pay for a premium account, there is no way to cancel the subscription. Support is non-responsive. I finally just used the option to request account deletion, but given the non-responsiveness of my previous efforts to contact support, whether this request will be honored remains to be seen.

It's very good, but the problem is that when reading a document, the pages turn on their own, making it awkward to read because they automatically flip to the next or previous page constantly. One thing I do appreciate is the ability to save a lot of highlighted text.

This app and its owner are a complete fraud and scam. They stole 240$ from my account through a direct debit and they don't reply to any email. True thieves! Don't never every tempt to subscribe this app!

can't download the pdf with highlight

Requires you to download an app to use it and asks 100,000 questions instead of just letting you highlight things

I started using weava around 2015-2017. It has evolved more refined and better. I love this chrome extension and lot of my friends have also started using it after that. I recently started reading lot for my research again then weava came in handy again. I only miss if this could some how be integrated with chrome mobile version. I would buy the premium version again.

Have to write notes of annotations in one go. If you click your cursor back in your annotation, every time it saves it'll move your cursor back to the end of the annotation note and you'll be writing at the end and not the middle where you were just writing. At least the colors work. update: no longer saves annotations. check to make sure it's saving yours. if you hover your cursor over the highlight and the cursor becomes a spinning wheel, it won't ever stop spinning and it won't ever save.

I love this! it works so simply and has different colors!

pretty good actually

Horrendous. I used this for about a month before it went downhill. At first I was able to open pdfs and highlight normally, but after a while I noticed that my highlights would disappear from my pdfs. Don't even get me started on the UI of it. It's so glitchy trying to highlight pdfs and scroll up and down when using the website. Like, constantly scrolling me back to the top of the page when I'm trying to go to the next page or even highlight text. It's ridiculous. Now I can't even open my pdfs anymore. Something about "pdf not accessible". The documents show up in my folder for like a second, then they completely disappear and I'm unable to do anything. Can't access any pdfs or highlights that I uploaded, can't upload new documents, can't delete documents, can't even change or delete folders. Honestly, there's too many bugs to even cover, and it's very frustrating trying to use the extension.

Can't even make an account. I want to use it but I'm stuck in this infinite "complete the questionnaire" page where every time I click, signup/login it leads me back to it and it never goes anywhere. Also customer support is EXCLUSIVE to paying customers, pisses me off so badly. There's nothing on their website that can help you either. I've tried to make an account on 3 devices already, don't know why it has such high ratings.

Why does it keep sending me to the questionnaire page? Uninstalling...

I had such a bad experience with this extension. The day i added this to chrome, it worked as advertised but after a few days the pdfs are not uploading, i can't highlight them. online i can, but download things i can't which are more important for my work. i had high hopes truly disappointed. Please fix it.

Not bad. Must have kept my Amanah Safe!

does not work at all

works sometimes okay but really annoying to use. the highlighter panel moves too quickly when trying to highlight a text segment. sometimes instead of highlighting, the text is zoomed in. also, the highlights are not visible when zooming in or out. also does not allow to highlight some segments of text.

I used to love and hype up Weava to anyone I met, but now it just straight up won't work. Literally will not open any PDFs...that's like its whole point...brutal.

This extension is just amazing :). I can highlight while reading and it automatically gets stored.

very good. Easy to use I use it for my educational research

awesome , better than most of the apps

Simply great!

I really enjoy using Weava to highlight as I'm reading. I did have some freezing initially but it seems to have resolved now. Will update if my opinion changes.

too slow and buggy

Awesome extension. One issue I noticed - It is not working on github page properly, can someone check if this is an issue or requires some feature request. Sample page - https://github.com/fastai/fastbook/blob/master/10_nlp.ipynb

If you select text in your browser, the highlight tool appears and WILL NOT GO AWAY even after de-selecting or right-clicking away. Like other said, highlights also disappear randomly after shutting down your browser and editing highlights has a 50/50 shot of being saved. Can't wait 'till a competitor does it better.

its working now :) just had to explore things here n there
